We contacted Leigh in 2019 to build eight townhouses in Laverton. Galea won the contract based on their promises of speed, quality and precision, while maintaining a low cost.
We were new developers and Leigh was both very patient and more than happy to answer questions and even offer advice in the build and other possible developments we were interested in.
Variations were our biggest worry with the build and Leigh kept to his promise in keeping them to a minimum – most of the variation cost was due to changes on our side. The final eight townhouses were built with superb quality and only a couple of weeks outside the original timeframe, which is a phenomenal accomplishment.

I contracted Leigh in 2015 for quoting our two townhouses in Newport. The job entailed demolishing an existing weatherboard residence with bungalow. Through Leigh’s contacts we sourced an architect to get our ideas to plan.
The works required the builder to be adaptable to change due to extensive bluestone below ground – which affected slab levels and, in turn, facade dimensions – and to be sensitive to the needs and concerns of the surrounding neighbours in a built-up area. This was done expertly, with all parties happy with the result.
Leigh and his team always conducted themselves with professionalism throughout the course of the build and all our questions and communications were handled efficiently and with the detail required. The adaptability to changes during the build highlighted their commitment to a quality end product.

We approached Galea Build as we were looking to build two townhouses. At the time, we were going to build one townhouse, sell it, then build the other townhouse and move into it, this process would have taken 2 years.
After discussions with Leigh Galea, he offered a solution where we would enter into a Joint Venture agreement. This agreement meant that we would supply the land, Galea Build was responsible for all construction and sub-division costs and in return we would retain one dwelling each. This was highly beneficial to us as we were able to move into our new home within one year, saving us an additional year of rent and borrowing expenses.
